From the deepest valley of my heart I appologize for all the red arrows ya'll have received.   I thought this could be a little fun, but apparently I am one of those bitter Jesus loving gun toting Americans.

If we're going to be given for posting pictures of guns, we should really go out and post lots and lots and lots of pics!

At least, only five of us will get 'em each day.  But I hope they're smart enough to "recycle" the reds because if Ken reverses them, it could end up counting against their own rep score (like they got it instead).

And remember: Guns don’t kill people. Cute Japanese consumer icons kill people.

BUT... we should make it of guns we actually own....  Like my grandfathers browning that has been passed down....

I do not know who is giving the red arrows but they need to knock it off.  Or at least be an adult and post why the are giving them.  If they are simply offended by firearms they just need to no longer look at this particular forum.  I got a red arrow to at this point and I want to let the poster know I am petitioning Ken to reverse them.  Also, guns do NOT kill people suspicious husbands who come home early from work do. LOL

I figure the person giving the reds experienced some personal tragedy somehow related to guns and instead of simply staying away, they're striking back at their pain by giving reds to people who post photos of guns.

Not a good resolution.  Passive-aggressive, doesn't solve a thing, won't help the pain but only magnifies it.

If I'm correct in my guess, to whomever you are, I'm sorry that you're hurting but you need to stay out of this particular thread - for your own sake.

I don't actually own a gun - so I have to pretend.

There is more than one of them; unless, of course, the same person is repeating their protest.

Somebody needs to go back to grade school where that sort of behavior is expected.

I hope the rest of you are getting red arrows for your post in this thread too.

Are you kidding?  Have a green on me.  It could be because you posted a girlie gun though. LOL

Tell that to 007. It's a Walther PPK.

BTW, I'm serious. I got a red arrow for my post.

The Walther while being a fun gun to shoot is most popular in .380.  The round is really only a good killing round at closer distances.  For my CCW I carry either my HK USP .45 or my Sig 229 Equinox.  Both rounds are superior to the .380 in both inflicted damage and knock down.  So while it is fun to own 007's gun, remember her started with a Beretta, went to the PPK, moved on to a 9mm and finished with the HK.

When it comes time to stand and deliver, nothing beats the venerable old 1911 format Colt .45ACP.  Having had the necessity in the past, I know quite a few who can speak from first hand experience.
Hopefully, that won't be necessary as a result of the election.

It has been my experience over the years that people who exhibit such fear and/or loathing of guns is usually because they know nothing about them beyond the horror stories they hear on the news.  I've taught a great many people to shoot over the years, and overcoming their fears/prejudices/misconceptions is probably 50% of the process before a shot is even fired.

I must agree!..... What if this were a thread on cars.... more people are killed in them than with guns... Who here is afraid of a car?

I would argue that most people need a car but I don't see the need for a gun. But then again I don't live in the land of the free where you need a gun to protect yourself.
