I have some of those round plate-like things that look the same on either side.  One is called A and the other B.  I wonder what that's all about?
Another Ken (not Ken Cole)

I have heard they have something to do with magnetism, so I figure you need an MRI to decipher these.

How can I have over 500 unwatched DVDs? Well, I guess I suffer from "OOP-itis" contracted during the good (?) old Laserdisc days, when a title could go OOP faster than you could say supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! And you'd kick yourself asking "Why didn't I buy it when I had the chance?"

Of course, the difference was that the number of titles released was just a fraction of what is released on DVD. More like how many BD titles are released today. So you could buy all those titles that really interested you. Unfortunately some of them cost up to $100...

So even today I have a hard time passing up anything that looks interesting, even though the number of unwatched titles just grow and grow (and available shelf space get less and less...)

You are not the only one!
I currently have about 800 unwatched titles!
I try to limit myself to titles that I can pick up at Frys or other local stores. I know that all the stuff in my wishlist could be ordered on the net, but then I would be broke!

Naturally I buy them to watch them... but I am a good ways behind on my watching!

62 - TV Show Releases
75 - Movies
Total - 137

Some of the kids DVD I haven't watched, so they don't count. (If it says "Barbie", I ain't watching it.)

I actually keep a spreadsheet with how much time I need to spend to get caught up.  It stands at about 90 hours right now, helped along by 5 seasons of Get Smart.

Luckily, I have two 12 hour train rides coming up.  So that should kill some of it.

I only buy movies I've seen and want to support.
So I would say 90% of my collection is either unopened or unwatched

My list of unwatched isn't too big (I think). I watch what I buy, but sometimes you don't have enough time or you need to be in a special mood for it.

single movie dvd : 30
film boxset : 4
TV mini series : 2
TV seasons : 4

I have quite a few unwatched...mainly because of time issues.  I always PLAN to watch, but then something comes up and I don't get to it.  But yet, I'm always finding great deals!   I never buy full price, but when one comes up on my to buy list at a good deal, I'll grab it and it gets added to the pile.

Plus sometimes, rather than watching something new, I feel like watching an old favorite, so I have some that I've watched several times while others just sit until I'm in the right mood to watch them.

Wow!  That's just like me.  I have close to 2,000 DVDs but I probably have 25% of them unwatched, if not more.  Once I have my DVDs organized, I'll be able to give a more accurate number.

76 unwatched movies (a substantial number of which are in cheapy boxsets) and 37 TV sets with at least one unwatched episode. I am systematically attempting to get the unwatched (particularly movie) count down.
