So what if it's Sound Mixer when listed INSIDE of the sound credits?

So you look at the program. I supplied the answer.

Again, and for the last time as it seem you don't want to understand it, it isn't the answer that caused the problem, it was "sharp shot to the ribs."

Ok let's try this a different way. I hate to be impolite but, that, my friend is NOT your or anyone else's affair. that is the users and between US it has been settled. So...to you and everyone else butt out and MYOB.

You're kidding right?  This is a public forum and you were rude to a member of the community.  If other people want to take exception to the way you treat a fellow user, that is their right.  If you want people to stay out of it, keep it private.  If you want to play in public, you have to deal with the public.  Such is the nature of internet forums.

Must I go into the long-winded psychology of the Nosy Nora's that simply live to harass by one users own PUBLIC admission another user. They could not argue the answer, so they chose to try and assassinate the messenger. That is pathetic behavior in and of itself and does not bring credit to you my friend martian.

Please be so kind as to show me where I tried to assassinate the messenger?  I made an observation about your post, that it did seem demeaning, and that I understood Merrik's offense.  I also pointed out your standard, when you claim offense, and said you should make the same allowance for other people.  You admitted that you gave Merrik a sharp shot to the ribs and that your post was sarcastic in nature, though not as sarcastic as it could have been.  I am sorry, but it seems you are looking for reasons to be offended.  That being the case, the only option I have is to refrain from conversing with you.

I presume the profiler types you are referring to are 'CSI' profilers who look into how people get assassinated (amongst other deaths).

And fyi my skull isn't full of mush.

Ok, I give up - what does this comment actually mean?

I assume the comment was aimed at madMartian who had merely quoted from the original post explaining why he thought you may have misunderstood a perfectly reasonable question which didn't seem to the original poster to have been covered by the rules.

Which is why the original poster raised this in the contribution forum to get some advice.

Don't assume that everyone understands what 'hazing' is. I certainly don't. This is an international forum with international people asking simple questions respectfully expecting a simple answer. That seemed insulting from my point-of-view too. I certainly wouldn't have taken that nicely.

Oh, I agree that Skip's reply was completely insulting and unnecessary. My reply to Merrik looked jerkish, I guess, to those who don't know that Merrik and I actually get along,  but Merrik would get that I was joking. I could understand why you wouldn't (not being snide, by any means. Merrik posted on the Spot forums, and we PM enough on these forums so he knows that my reply to him is tongue in cheek. )

So back to the question. How do you actually know what is INSIDE the sound credits. I hardlly ever or never see a section labelled "sound credits", they just get mixed up with a lot of other stuff.

Also, you can find "Sound Mixer" next to "Re-recording Mixer" in one set of credits, which at least suggest they are NOT exactly the same.

So I can understand a Sound Mixer to end up as a Production Sound Mixer, since that is just as close as Sound Mixing.

I can't help much on this, but I do know that often the Production Sound Mixer is listed just before the Boom Operator.

Usually like this...

Some Guy    Sound Mixer
Other Guy    Boom Operator

Staid:

This should not be dificult to figure out either. Most Sound Credit are grouped together, just as other credits are typically, except for those that believe Cast can be sprinkled anywhere, . Fort eample look at the screenshot provided by Merrik, there are THREE sound personnel listed in that shot and there is no other Crew of any kind listed. And the Sound Mixer is WITHIN that grouping so.... again as usual not overly difficult to sort it out.
