There's to many to mention. But a good idea is to go to IMDB and check out there top films for the 40's and 50's.
Then view actors or directors from those films, and just look through there other work. Bookmark anything you like to watch. Thanks, found me a few i gona order :D not all are on blu-ray yet.. But guess i'll survive that hehe, but i havent found any silent movies yet.. Do you guys have any good suggestions? Or any personal favourites, in the silent movie category? Guess i will use some hours to find me a top 20 list, of dvds\blu-ray's i will order :D Heard so much about Charle Chaplin, but never seen anything! | Posted: | | | | Picking out just one favorite movie from each decade was quite interesting. It was really difficult for the 30's, 40's, and 50's, but it got easier for each newer decade. I didn't reach back past 1930 because my experience with silent films is too limited. Here are my choices for today:
1930's: The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938) 1940's: Casablanca (1942) 1950's: The Searchers (1956) 1960's: 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968) 1970's: Star Wars (1977) 1980's: Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981) 1990's: Groundhog Day (1993) 2000's: Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Rings (2001) 2010's: Toy Story 3 (2010)
