| Posted: | | | | Yeah, I know there is one like that in X2, Orici. It is not in the list and should be removed, now me i simply moved it to the Other field for my local, so that if and when Ken adds it I will have it at hand and I do consider it to be a valuable credit. But for NOW, it is not in the list of approved Roles and should not be added. | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!! CBE, MBE, MoA and proud of it. Outta here

Special Make-up Design (Person's Name) I was hoping for a little bit more than that... Could you give us the name of the person and the name of the film? |

If he is referring to X2 the name is Gordon Smith and the context is unclear. | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!! CBE, MBE, MoA and proud of it. Outta here

I've been including them since for regular make-up we take artists and designers, what's different for special effects make-up other than a more barren grid of acceptable roles? Special = effects to me. Screeners don't seem to mind, they've all gone through noted.
Are you including the ACTUAL role in your notes, i bet you aren't, I will wager you simply including the data under your desired category At least half the time I do include the roles and my reasoning behind "linking" them to acceptable roles on the grid. I know I've slipped a few times and not put them in. Probably helps it usually happens on obscure horror only a couple people (if that many) even have. And of course this hasn't happened recently, I can't find any instance in my still existing contribution notes (I've also started using local more and more as threads like these pop up and let me know I've been doing wrong). I ddi get episode dividers within an anthogy film approved just recntly. I want to follow the rules, but when I used group it lumped the whole crew back into one collum (except the directors were sperated). Episode let me set it like it reads on screen, which I think should be the goal to shoot for. Here's the upc for my notes and the title (and if someone can find cover scans ). 014381570526 It's always been my feeling that common sense and how the credits read should override any rule that prevents good data from being contributed. So every once in a while I'll challenge the rules or ask about them, and feel contributions are good examples to my points. It's always easier to see something being done in front of you than by talking about it. |

Are you including the ACTUAL role in your notes, i bet you aren't, I will wager you simply including the data under your desired category I wouldn't make that wager Skip. bigdaddyhorse's profile updates are always ones I look forward to, not only because he generally makes amazing contributions that remove IMDB mined data, correct common names, and adds (correct) missing information (such as studios, media companies, CoO, video formats, corrections in overviews, corrections in special features etc.), but also because he takes the time and effort to properly document every single change he makes. I wish there was a pending update from him in my collection now so I could post his contribution notes to show the community what an excellent job he does. And generally, he's the type of guy that will even include a comment such as "I may be fuzzy on this" or "I may be misinterpreting the rules" allowing all the voters on the contribution to know to explicity double check that part of his submission for correctness. I do actually believe I even remember more than one contribution from him where he added a Special Make-Up Design (or Special Make-up credit) to a profile and explicitly stated in his notes that that was the specific credit, and if anyone disagreed, he could keep it local or withdraw the submission (I'm absolutely positive I've seen in his notes such credited roles as Costume Supervisor or Hair and Make-up for XXXX actor or Special Effects Co-Ordinator etc). None of us is perfect, he may not have included this exact specific info in every single one of his contributions, but he does his absolute best and I'd guess that at least 95% of his contributions that come through my local include this type of very specific detailed notes. He's actually someone that I will take the time to specifically head to their contribution notes and ding with a green arrow for his detailed break down of them. | | | The night is calling. And it whispers to me soflty come and play. |

Thank you Merrik for putting so eloquently exactly what I was thinking. I am always happy when bigdaddyhorse's contributions comes up on my voting list. I too often head over to give him a green thank you. |

| Posted: | | | | 1000% agree with the last 2. Bigdaddy does stellar work on his contributions, so much so that I have actually felt bad bad on the extremely rare occasions when I've had to vote no on a few cover scans. | | | Reviewer, HorrorTalk.com
