I do not own this version of the DVD and the credit block is not available in this thread for us to see. Would someone please post a screenshot of this information. Thank you. |

As usual. Contributor contributes what he thinks good. Voters vote. Screeners decide. We really lose someone else to a silly question? Grow some skin people! |

| Posted: | | | | Wow that was fast - thank you T!M. So, the question I have now is: Is a space a symbol? If the answer is "yes" than we would go to the credit block. If the answer is "no" than the credit block is irrelevant. I am going to think about it for a bit. But, right now my feeling is "no" a space is not a symbol. How can an empty space be a symbol? It will be interesting to see the debating on this issue! |

| Posted: | | | | I am not sure why this has gone on for 3 pages as we take the title for the case, not the opening credits. Yes, there is a space between the 'b' and the '?' in the on-screen title, but why do we care? While we have to copy the title on the case, there is no such requirement for original title.
That being the case, in my opinion, the original title is exactly the same as the title. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. My cover, there definitely isn't a space... That's even a negative space. | | | Hans |

That's even a negative space. Right. But I do not have that on my keyboard. Looking at the general design, I propose "Crum P" to represent everything after Harry. Title would be "Who's Harry Crum P" ... nearly as sexy as T4XI | | | Images from movies |

| Posted: | | | | But surfer, you have the negative space button!!! It's the "backspace" key. If you hit that it will turn the title into "Who's Harry Crum?" but taking the clearly possessive "Who's" off will make the title "Harry Crum?".
So, can we please change the title to "Harry Crum?"
Thanks! |

Ninehours (the OP) never said what version of the DVD he was talking about. It could be a non-english version in which case the OT becomes relevant. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

| Posted: | | | | Quote: Original Title The Original Title field serves two general purposes, but in both cases allows for the tracking of the original feature title. For profiles which have an alternate title displayed on the cover, use the title from the film's credits. For titles released outside their country of origin, use the original release title. In cases where the title is the original title, leave the Original Title field blank. COVER CREDITS | | | Last edited: by ninehours |

| Posted: | | | | Ok, do I understand this right that you want "Who's Harry Crumb?" in the title field but "Who's Harry Crumb ?" in the original title field? |

| Posted: | | | | The rule reads: Quote: For profiles which have an alternate title displayed on the cover, use the title from the film's credits. I'm sorry, I understand your point of view, but in no way can I consider that Who's Harry Crumb? is an alternate title for Who's Harry Crumb ?This whole situation has been caused because of the insistence of trying to slavishly recreate what we see on screen rather than use our brains (and the credit block, spine etc.) and use the field for what it was intended: the TITLE. PS: Nice to see you back Ninehours, even though we disagree in this case, you've always been a good contributor to the forums and database. | | | Last edited: by northbloke |
