It just shows I personally disagree with your reasoning. That is what I think you are wrong about.

In other words... I honestly don't believe/feel your reasoning holds up.

I am open to the idea it could of been an "Other Features".... but I would have to agree with your reasoning for me to do so.

But the big difference here is that the people asking the questions are not present at the meeting and thus are not actually interviewing these people in person.

But now seeing that clip, it looks like the moderator also asks them her own questions. It comes across as more of a discussion then a simple Q & A with now discussions in between the questions being answered.
So yes, it looks like an interview to me now since the moderator also asks her own questions too.

This is something where a blanket statement description can't cover all types of features on a dvd.

Now if the clip had shown them simply answering questions off of index cards then that wouldn't be an interview, but a Q&A.;

Perhaps you consider my reasoning is wrong. But in fact those who made the clip you are speaking of do not consider it as an interview, but as a roundtable, with a moderator...

BTW, you are in favor of using exactly what is on screen, aren't you?

So Other feature : Cast rountable

What they name it on the DVD would never come into it in my opinion... I have seen some pretty weirdly named stuff on the DVD. And that is just what that particular one named it. I may have considered it if they were always... even mostly called that.

This is far too boring.

So I think they should be considered Bonus Films, or Closed Captions, and the Locality automatically recorded as Russia or South Africa (depending on the day of the week).

This pretty much sums up how I feel, too.

If I understand clearly what you write, what is on screen (or an covers) must always be used when I find it inappropriate (when containing spelling errors, for example), but must not be used when you find it inappropriate (this case, for example)...

OMG come on! I mean really! How many times have we seen features called by multiple names?

Blooper Reels, Gag Reels, Outtakes

Deleted Scenes, Extended Scenes, Alternate Scenes

It has nothing what so ever to do with what I prefer compared to what you prefer... and I will say I am very insulted by the accusation!

It has anything to do with the FACTS that features are commonly called multiple things on DVD releases. So what the release calls a feature has no bearing what so ever on what check-box we check or if we use Other Features.

Rules take this in account.

For example, rules give a list for Deleted Scenes :
Deleted Scenes :Deleted Scenes, Alternate Scenes, Alternate endings available through a separate menu option, and not incorporated into the main feature or a documentary.

...but for interview, the list in rules has only one case:
Interviews : Interviews, generally with cast and/or crew members available through a separate menu option, and not incorporated into the main feature or a documentary.

Roundtable with moderator is not in the list in front of Interview.

I would be the first to accept an "intelligent" reading of rules, but some users refuse this intelligent reading in the cases I'm interested. And the same users want this "intelligent" reading when they are interested... funny...

The rules can not take into account every single name a company can come up with for their features. What you mention there is just an example of each. The rules no where say only use this selection if it is called one of these. It just lists some names to give you a good idea what they are talking about.

But in the case of the things you mentioned wanting to change... the rules tells us to use strictly as it is on the release...

Overview EXACTLY as on case
Cast & Crew as per credited in the credits.

Are you really trying to tell me you don't see the difference in how those rules are written differently?

I am sorry... but I just don't buy it.

I am not going to keep arguing with you on such things. I have had all I can take of this.
