@pauls42, thanks for the tips. Reminds me that the second jewel in the DVDP/Invelos crown is the User Community. We've got each other's backs (well mostly  ).

and as to tools - don't forget the dvd profiler itself shows the differences between old & new for every section/part (and you can hide those parts which are identical in the old/new profile)

And if you keep Ctrl-key pressed when you click OK in preview screen program goes straight to next profile preview. It makes previewing must faster when you don't have to select each profile from the preview list.

A new contribution can be accepted in 2-3 days so I guess that could happen.

I check voting every day and 99% of my profiles I'm the initial contributor, so that's not the case. I don't know why, but for some reason I don't see all profiles under voting.

The problem in the Swedsh locality is a lack of updates. ANY updates. Not even bad ones are made these days.

Same thing in Finland, but since I usually do full audit and I'm the initial contributor I like to think that I've done a good job  Theres nothing to fix after my contribution

Another problem is newbies who don't understand the concept of localities (or confuse it with CoO), or simply forget to change it before they contribute their changes. But this usually goes away once you have explained it to them, something the program fails entirely to do because it hardly mentions the subject or how it is supposed to work. So the blame partly falls on Invelos here, if they explained the concept better I think there would be fewer unintentional mistakes.

I agree.

But if you catch someone intentionally sabotaging the database you should of course report them so they can be banned from contributing, if sending PMs and no votes doesn't help.

It's not that easy. This particular guy Draxen is talking about had created, if I remember correctly, over 70 aliases for himself and used those to vote down legimate votes. This was during the time when non-registered users could vote and contribute. It took close to 2 years for Ken to get rid of him.

Well color only submissions will not show up for voting, and those profiles could of course contain other old data that you are seeing as changes.

Color only changes are automatically accepted and new submissions do not come up for voting as well - I've even seen them accepted after a few hours.

Everything else should come up for voting and the time before it gets accepted can vary. Usually it is several days but can take a couple of weeks if it is being reviewed.

I usually check every other day or so because it gets to be a bit much if I miss a couple of days.
