Seriously, I thought there were reviews of Cabin in the Woods, to pick a recent film, that had release week reviews that unduly spoiled the story, but how many years must pass before spoiler-phobic people allow others to discuss a film?

I don't see what all this has to do with how "old" a film is? People are watching "old" movies for the first time every day, and don't want to get spoiled about important plot events. IMHO it is just common courtesy to consider the possibility of spoiling a film for someone. Not everyone will be listing movies that everyone knows throughout anyway, like e.g. Citizen Kane. It has all to do with subject of this particular movie game (naming the character who dies in the film + description of it). It is a completely different situation than listing 13 movies where a polo match takes place  And why this animosity? Spoiler tags were suggested in order to not ruin a film experience for anyone, what's the harm in that? I didn't see this as a request for "censorship for spoiler-phobics". I see the use of spoiler tags in this case as a matter of consideration for other readers, not as censorship. But of course nobody can force anyone to use the tags - I myself will just stay away from this thread for a couple of pages  ... just in case. | | | Mika
