| Posted: | | | | no that's awesome, deleting all the files is perfect, at least for what I would like. that way if I change how many titles per document, it won't have old files mixed in with new files. | | | _________________________________________________________________________ "Crush your enemies, see them driven before you and hear the lamentation of the women!" |

| Posted: | | | | One more question about the grouping, it currently stuffs as many titles into one file as possible before moving on. Would you rather see it grouped more by alpha characters? So there could be 3 files filled with "S" titles, and only one title in the "Q", for example? This would create more files, and might take the ipod a little longer to load it. | | | The Other DVD Forum Why do people who know the least know it the loudest? |

| Posted: | | | | That's how the other program I mentioned did it, and yes the S's usually had multiple documents, that were just divided by letter I think that would be easier to read, but could there be an option to do it either way? For those people that might want it crammed into documents? | | | _________________________________________________________________________ "Crush your enemies, see them driven before you and hear the lamentation of the women!" |

| Posted: | | | | I like the three letter headings as suggested by m666. Again thanks for all your hard work. Like I said now all that I have to accomplish is to remember to take the IPOD with me when I go shopping. |

| Posted: | | | | @tlevel, I'm curious as to what kind of files this plugin outputs. I'm wondering whether it could be adapted to other things. For example, I have a mobile phone that is able to display html files. I currently export to xml and have to split manually, but this plugin may do most of the work for me. My phone may even display the current files automatically! |

| Posted: | | | | ipod notes uses (as far as I know) regular text documents without a file extension but Now that this plugin links to cover art, I think it has more capability than I thought. | | | _________________________________________________________________________ "Crush your enemies, see them driven before you and hear the lamentation of the women!" |

| Posted: | | | | tlevel, Looks like you've got a winner on your hands . Although I do have a PDA with DVDPM, I'd be interested in trying out your program too as I carry my iPod around with me more than my PDA. I'll PM my email address to you so you can send it to me if you wouldn't mind? | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |

| Posted: | | | | Quoting tlevel: Quote: Hi Northbloke,
The files are simple text files with some HTML-style markup tags for displaying the covers. If you send me some of the different files you created for your phone, I'll be happy to see if I can adjust the plugin to suit it too.
BTW, what kind of phone? It's just a Sony Ericsson k750i I'm at work at the moment but I'll see if I can email you one of the files tonight. However, all I did to create them was copy & paste the title column from the XML document into a blank Frontpage web page and did some tidying up. Although the phone could probably display them I would have thought the display is too small to show covers, so only an extremely basic list is needed. | | | Last edited: by northbloke |

| Posted: | | | | Anybody out there who likes to "tinker" with scripts might want to try DVDProfileLoop plugin - just released. That's how I was going to do my version of iPod notes, but ol' tlevel beat me to the punch! That's ok, lots of work to go around. Anyway, if you have some HTML, VB or .BAT file or other scripting experience, you can insert your sctipt into a "profile loop," and you can make your own lists/HTML/whatever, based on tagged/flagged/filtered profiles. | | | Thanks for your support.
