| | Posted: | | | | My first DVDs were Gleaming The Cube & Re-Animator (both R2) in a 2 for £20 deal at Virgin Megastore, I only had a DVD-ROM drive at the time. The first disc I remember buying after I got a standalone machine was the R2 version of Gladiator (the Russell Crowe movie) on the day of release. My first R1 after modding my Philips 711 was Pitch Black, not sure when that was, though I still have the receipt from play247.com somewhere. |

It came as an added extra with my 1st DVD player that I had just purchased at the time (several years ago now!).
To be honest it wasn't a film I would have bought as I am not really into historical epics but I watched it, and now I would count it amongst one of my favourite movies. | | | Gavin.

My first purchased DVD was Woodstock: The Movie.
It was on sale for $7.99 at a Montgomery Ward that was closing.
