Sincerly, the part I liked the most was right at the begining when they were asked to name a country starting with "U" and no one thought about U.S.A. or, otherwise United States of America.

What's this "U" you talk about.  The country I live in starts with an A

There's Canada, Mexico and America.... right?

First country I thought of was Ural.... but that's because I've played way too many games of Risk in my life

Ural is not a country but a region, as far as I know

For the record I knew that. I can even point it out on a map.... as long at it looks like a Risk board

Actually in Risk they are called territories

I used to play at this game a lot when I was younger with my little brother. The fun to stay on a game for 2 or 3 days or the night without sleep to trying to conquer the world. The pleasure to got the Alaska, The Kamchatka or the Bresil at the game start.

Thanks for the memory Rick

I remember a show in The Netherlands called somathing like the Vacation Guy where they would go to these Dutch enclaves in Spain and other European countries, where these Dutch people would group and scare away all the locals, and put a map of Europe on the street. They'd always ask people, where are you now? People sometimes, even though they were on the coast, point out Hungary or would point out Letvia. It is indeed amazing who they always pick out the less smart ones.

BTW I think New Zealand is spelled 'wrong' because of the Dutch. We have a province called Zeeland, and just like we called Manhattan New Amsterdam, it could be because of that. If I am not mistaken we were the first settlers there?

@ruineddaydreams
No, it is just plain fun. Why would this be inappropriate? I think it is good we show we can take, as the English say, p*ss out of ourselves.

@Rifter
That is great to be able to see the world that way. I have to do it on my own dime and therefore haven't seen as much as I'd like.

Its good as they say 'to laugh'. Something Brown (Uk's current Prime Minister) singularily failed to do at his last question time in the House of Commons. He was asked if he wanted to go and visit a tory constituency and see a bottle recycling plant. At the word 'bottle' everybody laughed (even labour MPs) - except him. And he then started ranting etc. The phrase "Humour bypass" came to mind..

Must be British humour as I fail to see what is so funny with the word "bottle" .

In the UK "bottle" is a slang word to mean nerve as in bravery.
When we say "does he have the bottle to do it", it means "does he have the guts or the nerve to do it"

It's referring to Brown's apparent backtrack over calling a general election sooner rather than later.
