| Posted: | | | | Hi folks I am at 6207, but I also count childprofiles. As I have not many series in my collection it does not change much. About 4'500 are Blu-ray, the rest DVD. Storage get's a real problem now, at about 6500 my space will end, don't know what I am doing then. http://www.invelos.com/dvdcollection.aspx/SwissFilm | | | * 3D TV Panasonic TX-P65VT30J + Blu-ray Player Panasonic DMP-BDT500 My Filmcollection online: www.filmkino.ch * |

| Posted: | | | | I just hit 5,000 release today. I don't count actual movies but releases I bought so box sets count as one. When it comes to movies I have many MANY more. I could only imagine. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | I'm sitting at just over 6,500 items, I try to pick things up on both blu-ray and DVD. I looked into 4k, but honestly, it's just not worth it, especially since I gravitate towards lower budget horror movies and those just don't translate well.
As far as what I pick up, well, I use resources like streaming and the library to watch things, and if I can't find them through those places, I resort to sailing the seven seas (if you catch my drift). If I like it, I buy it. I also pick up things that I don't have an interest in owning but friends/family want to watch, loaning them out like a honor system video store haha. I have a long list of things that I still need to check out, sitting at nearly a thousand different movies and shows, but those are becoming harder and harder to track down. I still have a lot of things I would love to get but have no hope of ever picking up (the Moral Orel box set, for example, was never released in the US and is rarely seen online), especially because I'm disabled and there's no way I can afford them when they do come up. Movie collecting is effectively my only hobby at this point. | | | Last edited: by RMHanneman |
