| Posted: | | | | I don't know about Blu-Ray as I haven't gotten into Blu-Ray yet... but I know most DVD sets don't have UPCs for the individual discs. It is pretty rare when they do. So the child profiles have to be submitted by disc ID. But it seems a lot of people do not have a blu-ray drive in their computer to add it by disc ID... so they have to wait for someone that can. | | | Pete |

The Starship Troopers set is a digipak/slipcover affair; so the discs can only be properly added via disc ID. I had this problem before with the 28 Days Later/28 Weeks Later box. In that case I created Manual profiles (no upc/disc ID) until someone added the child profiles. All someone has to do is add the discs and very basic information (whatever they can get away with and still submit) - I'm more than happy to do the rest. |

Likewise & that's exactly what happened with the US release of the Starship Troopers box set. Someone else added the disc-ID profile & others (myself included) added the rest of the info. Until I have a Blu-ray drive I'm more than happy to do it like that. |

Allow me to once again try and assist you here, since you have been asking for this title now for THREE months and no one has responded. Water Horse was released well over a year ago. If it has not submitted by now with or without your pleas, I would hazard that IF any Profiler user has not submitted the profile by this time then either they don't frequent the forums, don't contribute OR they don't own the title. Since DVDProfiler is a user built-database and you are a user, then i would recommend that you read the Contribution Rules, ask questions if necessary and Contribute the data yourself.

TIA I have this movie, and it has a disc with bonus materials (already in the database). So what is it you are missing? Another disc? If so, it would appear not to be part of the main release. | | | Hans |

Skip ...and as I have pointed out previously, I would LOVE to be able to submit it, but there is a problem with the program reading from my DVD ROM player. I have submitted a few profiles myself, so the process is not unknown to me nor is it over my head. I am well aware that this is a user built database, and since I can not add it myself, that's why I am asking other users who might have it if they would be willing to submit it themselves. In fact, another user said he could add it for me, but I sent him the info and haven't heard back, so I don't know what the deal is. So, without trying to sound rude, unless you can submit it yourself, please refrain from regurgitating the same pointless advice which unfortunately does me no good. |

I have searched the info for this second disc, and can not find anything about it in the profile database. However, I am wondering if you are confusing the second disc of the special edition (which I can't find either) with the specific Target Bonus disc? Just for curiosity's sake, if you can point out the second disc in the database, I'd be grateful. |

| Posted: | | | | The only profiles I can find for this title (search by name, R1) are two special edition profiles, each with two discs (main feature and bonus material). These bonus discs are not separately in the database, but are part of the movie profile. Without further explanation, I don't know what a target disc is. By the way, if the program can not read the disc ID (that happens with certain types of copy protection or DVD-player only discs), then the same would be true for other users and the disc could not get into the online database at all, unless it has a UPC. | | | Hans |

PM me again .,, also the DVD rom..,, Does it read DVDs but just can't read disc id?, or the dvd rom doesn't work period?..,, if so DVD rom players are almost less than $10 from any craigs list, in your home town., Or your PC has some files that crossed etc.. maybe a registry fix could do the the trick. Now the whole ideal of having the Disc ID inserted into your program is so Profiler could find that the disc on a search of your titles when the disc is inserted into your drive.. If you only want to add the third disc as a child, wouldn't profiler find disc 1 from the already submitted entries already,??.. . and for that matter if your dvd rom doesn't read discs,, what would it matter anyway,. ? either way you are hooped.. | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. I have the 2-disc special edition and it also has the “The History Channel’s Deep Sea Detectives: Loch Ness”. You will not find this disc profiled in the on-line DB as we do not profile those. @ Staid S Barr Target is a store here in the states. The disc heathen is talking about is an extra disc that was included for those people who purchased their copy at that store. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. In that case Target disc is not a very enlightening or accurate way to describe a DVD. Could be anything. Anyway, ask the people at the store... | | | Hans |

Skip Before you get too self-righteous....how do you know he has a dvd-rom drive? Not everyone does. Much as myself not having a Blu-ray drive. If someone doesn't have a drive there shouldn't be a problem with them asking for someone else to submit a profile (especially if, like me, they're willing to do the work once a basic profile is accepted). On the other hand if he does have a dvd-rom drive then I agree with everything you said! |

| Posted: | | | | He doesn't need a Ddive to buiold the profile, my friend. He needs the UPC, nothing more, if he doesn't have a drive he will not be able to complete the profile but he can build a lot of it, including cast and crew...assuming he at least has a deck and TV, lol. I don't have a BD-ROM yet but that dioesn't prevent me from building profiles. I just wait for someone to provide the Disc ID data. Skip | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!! CBE, MBE, MoA and proud of it.
