Zardoz (1974)

This was great fun!

Also have to mention The Man WHo Fell to Earth, with David Bowie as an alcoholic(!) alien.

Also, two others from Laloux, Maitres du temps and Gandahar. All three are available on DVD from Masters of Cinema in the UK, best editions worldwide. Fantastic Planet will soon see a Blu-ray too

Fantastic Planet

Gandahar

Les Maitres du temps

Yep, own all three of them. Actually double-dipped on two as I have to old US editions too.

BTW; Has anyone seen Blake's 7?

I just read about the plot on Amazon UK and it sort of reminded me of Firefly, which I loved.

I saw it long, long ago on TV. Pretty good, although I'm sure it will look very dated by today's standards, especially in the (crummy) special effects department. Could be sort of camp to watch now.

I like alot of those already mentioned, but  some of my favourites that I can watch again and again  would have to be.

Zardoz - floating stone heads spewing guns ,Sean Connery in red nappies, The Tabernacle, meditation on the second level - whats not to like?

Innerspace.

The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the Eighth Dimension! - Awesome end credits.

The Thing (1982).

Dune (1984)

A Scanner Darkly. One of the best Dick adaptations. It got overlooked due to people not being into roto-scoping or something.
