| Posted: | | | | Quoting Ken Cole: Quote: To complete my earlier example, if we go with option number 2. The highest rating wins, as with option number 1.
"Dark City" has an 'R' rated version and an 'NR' version. It was previously theatrically rated, therefore it is "Unrated". Unrated > R, therefore, the rating is 'Unrated'.
"The Hangover: Unrated" has an 'R' rated version and an 'Unrated' version. Unrated > R, therefore the rating is 'Unrated'
"Dora the Explorer" has only an 'NR' version. Therefore the rating is 'NR'. | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!! CBE, MBE, MoA and proud of it. Outta here

| Posted: | | | | This is not a perfect answer, ken, but..perfect takes a program mod of some sort. The problem that i have with it as you are suggesting, to me Option 1 is no good at all, but Option 2 while better has us in effect dealing with fiction instead of data. Dark City: DC on DVD is NOT RATED not Unrated, now while I believe the two mean the same thing, you want to split them apart, and I understand the logic behind that idea . I have an idea I am noodling a bit right now, but I am not ready to discuss it just yet, but it MIGHT be a better short term answer. | | | ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!! CBE, MBE, MoA and proud of it. I can understand both sides, but I like the fact to distinguish between the two types. | | | HDTV: 52" Toshiba Regza 52XV545U AVR: Onkyo TR-707 Speakers: Paradigm Monitor 7 v6, CC-190 & Atom Monitors Subwoofer: Definitive Technology ProSub 800 BD/DVD: Oppo BDP-93 (Region Free) HD PVR: Motorola DXC3400 500GB w/ 1TB Expander BD/DVD/Game: 250GB PS3 Slim DVD/Game: 250GB XBox 360 Elite Special Edition (Black) Game: Wii Remote: Logitech Harmony One w/ PS3 Adapter WHS: Acer H341 Windows Home Server |

Donnie Indeed. Ideally I'd much prefer using what's on the cover, but can live with that one. |

It does sound like an option for the future. However, like some of the others suggestions, it would require a program change. The one suggested by Ken can be implemented in the daily update. |
