"Taking all the heat" ?!? Are you bloody serious? For submitting bad data on purpose and fabricating notes to back that bad data up? You SERIOUSLY believe that people taking issue with this were ONLY doing so to "rile Skip up" just to "watch him meltdown?" What kind of screwed up logic is that? | Posted: | | | | I thnk regardless of the issues involved, each person has choices and is reponsible for their own actions. Nobody causes another to do anything. Using another person's alleged improper actions to justify another set of improper actions is what starts wars. Goodness knows we have enough of them already. Please don't mistake my comments for chosing sides. I'm just trying to say "two wrongs don't make it right." You might not like something a person does, and you might take some action because of it, but I personally feel that I can't blame another person for my actions, nor can I expect sympathy if my actions are just as wrong as those that I assert did me harm. (Of course I'm human, and do wrong things too - but what I'm saying now is the persepctive that I most often get back to, after things calm down.) Just my two cents worth. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! BDPFrog. | | | Last edited: by mediadogg |

Charlie Yes, wouldn't it be nice if everyone did exactly that...took responsibility for their own actions. Great idea! I'd say Kathy's actions were very responsible! | | | Hal | | | Last edited: by hal9g |

I'd say Kathy's actions were very responsible! I agree, everyone. What ever her decisions are, no matter how we feel, I will wish her the best. Charlie |

| Posted: | | | | Coincidentally, isn't that exactly what this thread is about? Someone didn't care for the atmosphere here, recognized they could only control their own actions and, well, acted. I've seen lots of responsible people on these boards more than happy to take ownership of their actions...and simply remove themselves from a toxic situation. Ironically, it's typically in response to the few who refuse to acknowledge their own actions. |

Quote: Invelos have got your cash. They don't care about things like this or the highly negative impact it has on their product.
This is why Ken and Gerri won't do anything about it. They have already gotten paid, they don't need to do anything./] That maybe true in the short term, but many companies have been brought down by bad word of mouth. We simply don't know what those that have left tell friends/families and even strangers of their experience with this product and/or their experience here on the forums. And how many of these people that were told of this decided not to purchase this product? We simply don''t know. Sure the product maybe terrific, but if potential buyers hear of these concerns it can persuade them to go with another product. Thus hurting the bottom line eventually. So Ken & Gerri should do something about anything that damages the reputation of their website and thus their product. *************** To Kathy, It's incredible sad to hear of your leaving and I can fully understand your reasoning. Take care. |

| Posted: | | | | I understand Kathy's reason for leaving is that she has lost faith in Invelos. Likewise, I am feeling the same. Kathy, good luck in any future endeavors. |

| Posted: | | | | Well,
as I am also a long time around here, I like to say a few words. First I am deeply sorry to see Kathy leave, a user who was always nice and polite and contributed alot to the community. I respect the decision to leave, tho I would simply use the ignore function to deal with such a problem.
On the other hand, no matter what I think or feel about Skip. If those were my forums and as its a matter of fact that alot of people left becuase of one person named Skip, I would easily make the decision to lifetime ban this person for the sake of the majority of the community. Again I am not judging Skip here, I am just observing what happened here over the past years.
The result is that Ken and Geri simply do not care what happens here in the forums, the reason is beyond me, maybe Skip is a good friend or relative of them, who knows, i do not.
For me the real persons to blame are Ken and Geri for not taking action. The owner of a forum, site, community or whatever is responsible for it. And if one person is hated by almost the entire community, no matter for what reasons, for the sake of the community that user has to be banned.
But that is not and will never happen here, so you either deal with it (ignore, don't care or whatever) or you leave like Kathy and a few dozen of other people did.

The community here is awesome but this ship has no discernible captain. I'll most likely be following Kathy in the near future as I also feel that I have lost faith. I think it's getting close to time to start using DVDP as simply a tool. |
