| Posted: | | | | I purchase virtually all my media through Amazon.ca. $25 minimum gets you free shipping by UPS - usually next day delivery. Marketplace (Canadian vendors) often has great deals but charge $3/DVD shipping.
I never use Amazon.com as they want $8 - $12 to ship one DVD to Canada. |

| Posted: | | | | 80% of my purchases come from one of the Amazon domains.
The rest comes from my weekly tour to the local farmer's market after which I drop in at a drug store that also sells movies on their upper levels. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

Quote: @Piffi: The course of events you described is spot on. I used to order a lot from play.com, but in recent years: not so, only incidentally when they have unique offers. Nowadays it's mostly Amazon UK and sometimes Zavvi and The Hut.
Yeah. Never used Zavvi or The Hut. Is it ok places to buy from? Fast from you place an order, till they send it? cheap? Long delivery etc? Delivery can be somewhat slowish (but not more than two weeks to Holland in my experience). I've never experienced non-delivery, and on the one occasion I needed customer service (when they shipped the wrong item) it worked fine. So I see no reason not to use them. Prices are indeed good. Sam's less favourable experiences might have something to do with the delivery service used within the UK. I've seen similar complaints on the Amazon UK website. Apparently UK webshops use different delivery services within the UK and abroad, and some of the UK ones are appalling. This might explain the difference in experiences between Sam and me. |
