See above - actually, more a personal thing. Curtains should compliment the decor in a room not the furniture; this allows for more flexibility when it comes to changing the room. I, personally, feel more thought should go into a room than just....see above statement.

Nope, just an opinion. Once again, not a reflection on the users just the tool. Your opinion? I beg to differ. I do not see a benefit to Twitter. I do not see that it has added anything to the communication world that other, better, innovations hadn't already done. Facebook was already out there and doing what Twitter does a lot better. What was the point of creating a tool that limits how much you can say and leads to many, many people posting information about their morning bowel movement or the contents of their breakfast? I'm sorry, but I see no need or benefit of such a tool.
I realise there are people who use Twitter for other things (as shown in this thread), but from my experiences with the tool and from investigation and conversations with others...those people are in the minority.
Do I think Twitter should be obliterated? Of course not! People enjoy it and they should continue to do so.
So, why all the hoopla over my opinion? In the grand scheme of things who cares if I dislike Twitter or Mayonnaise, or Hula Hoops or Hersheys Bars?
Was is the 'in the history of man' bit that stuck in people's throats? I don't know. If so, would 'I hate Twitter more than life itself' have been better? No, it wouldn't.
In the history of man is as much a 'turn of phrase' to me as 'more than life itself'. Neither statement is to be taken literally.
I'm tempted to take the stupid post out because people here really have overreacted to it; but by the same token; it's how I feel and I have a right to my opinion - as many people in this forum like to spout.
