When I have on the Frontcover in big letters:

Lost River in 3D

I write this also as the title.

But you don't have "Lost River in 3D" on the front cover.

You have this front cover:

Here the merchandising nonsense "in 3D" is not part of the Title, even if "3D" is written in big letters.

If you are going to put this in the rules I would suggest making it clear if it is within the title to use it as part of the title. Only when it is at the end should it be moved to the edition.

That doesn't work for Jaws 3-D, which is an entirely different movie from Jaws. Drafting rules that will pick up both Jaws 3-D and A Very Harold & Kumar 3-D Christmas properly, while relegating other instances to Edition or ignoring it is going to be very very tricky.

This is exactly as I did open this film "Lost River in 3D". Why? Because there is another edition only in 2D. When you like to add the film by Name and search in the database for "Lost River" you see immediately which is the 3D profile without doing a preview first. For me this information makes sence and helps to work easy with the database.

You'd see the Edition.
