| | Posted: | | | | The way I verify BY's is to find a profile that has no cast/crew on it and then add everyone that has a BY. Then I contribute the updated profile and take note of any names that show up at the bottom of the page in the list of unknown BY's. I then cancel the contribution and strip out the BY's for those cast & crew members. |

On a similar note, though not related to the headshot database but the cast links, is the Ray Charles in Octopussy really the late piano Blues/Soul/Jazz man? |

Important notes:-This database used prior versions released on this site, but all headshots were compared one by one. -The BY are all cleaned out, according to the Accepted Birth Years with Documentation thread. This means if you find lots of unwanted birth years after accepting this database, it was surely present before restoring it. -Where possible, all entries which are present in the previous BY thread, have been checked to make sure the good face has the good birth year. Don't be astonished if you find a strange face for John Williams, Kevin Smith of James Brown. -No nude entries should be present. -The Kruger entry from the previous post has also been corrected. I would just like to point out a few errors: Robert Blossoms has an image of Harry Dean Stanton James Brown 1920 has an image of James Brown 1933 Eddie Byrne has an image of Peter Cushing Don Davis has an image of Don S. Davis Nicole Eggert has an image of a child, maybe it's her but I would replace it with something more recent. Vera Jordanova has an image of Lauren German Annie McEnroe has an image of a man Valerie Rae Miller has an image of Jessica Alba Harry Morgan has an image of Alan Alda John Rottman has an image of Danny Aiello Steve Tyler has an image of Steven Tyler of Aerosmith Enya has image of an unknown woman. For the ones listed I believe I have the correct images in my database. If anybody is interested, I can upload it to the same location. I have a mix of all previously uploaded databases with quite a few additions of my own. I must say, I didn't remove the cleavage and nude pictures... At the beginning, there were so many errors and low quality images (and nude images too), nobody took the time to mention the list of what they found. Now we can take the time to correct them one by one.
Your contribution would be more than appreciated and I would gladly download it and merge it into my own database. Use the site I finally found (filecrunch.com), it is the only one I found that could manage such big files (without bandwith limitation).
Before uploading your database, just make sure the BY are all cleaned out and all unneccessary BY are removed.

Hopefully I didn't miss any. There are a small number of birthyears that have not yet been documented/validated but are valid. | | Posted: | | | | When I compare photos, I try to identify if it's the same person if there's a significant age difference between them by examining their facial structures. 90% of the time, I can tell it's the same person and I'll accept it if the new photo is a more recent (ie: they're older) photo.
If they're clearly not the same person - for example: a female photo and the existing is male - I won't accept it without proper documentation.
I've also decided to leave all valid BY's in the database due to the restore cast/crew issue where profiles without a BY will be replaced with one that has a BY. Invalid BY's that do not exist in Invelos database will be removed for the v4 release. |

| | Posted: | | | | I just want to give some kudos to user davidwinney - he submitted a headshot database that is rather impressive! Hundreds of photos are being replaced with far superior quality ones for the v4 database. To give you an idea as to how big it is, I've been working on them off-n-on for four days now and I'm getting behind entering new DVD's I purchased and movies I watched because I don't want to interrupt the database restore process and continue it later.
And I'm only 54% through the cast database.... |

| | Posted: | | | | If you can wait 1 or 2 weeks, just sit back and relax. However, the version you have is seriously outdated and would need the upgrade. If you download my version, you'll still have the option to import automatically the v4 when it will be available. If you choose to compare all the headshots, you will have to do the work twice. It's up to you. |
