There are simply too many suggested features missing here, even ones that would have been a piece of cake to implement (like, for example, a new field for distribution studio). And I very much doubt that this list will change dramatically during the beta phase. You are likely to be pleasently surprised then. Check prior beta cycles for a better indication of what to expect. Distributor is actually in the first beta - the above list is not the official release notes and has some holes. *stops even thinking about updating profiles until new version* | | | -JoN |

- Added support for custom cast/crew photos on a per-profile basis. These are stored outside the database in a configurable directory, with subdirectories by UPC. The program handles the files but users are also free to place images there directly. Files not in a per-UPC directory will override the DB image for those who chose to have all images outside the DB. - Added photo gallery for each profile, with thumbnail and slideshow capability. Files are stored in a configurable directory, with subdirectories by UPC.
If i'm understanding you right, we can now have photos for each cast/crew member stored outside the database as (for instance) a .jpeg? This will be great! Will make adding/editing the profile pictures MUCH easier! :D Thanks Ken. Can't wait to try it out |

Can't wait to try it out i understood that there would be one standard photo for a person, but that you could overwrite this for a film they were in. so no, its not a single directory for the cast photos | | | Paul |

| Posted: | | | | It's both. Photos in the CreditPhotos directory will be used over the DB photos. Photos in the CreditPhotos\UPC directory (called Custom Photos in the program) will be used over all, when that profile is selected, and in the Credit Info list for that profile. | | | Invelos Software, Inc. | Posted: | | | | That sounds great... this way we can have pics of what some of the actors looked like at the time of the movie/show when it was made.
Question though... how will it work when you have CreditPhotos\UPC and only have a few pictures in that UPC folder.. but have many in the standard... will it only look in the UPC folder or will it look in both folders?
For example...
I have an old TV Series... say Brady Bunch. In the UPC folder I have pics of Robert Reed, Florence Henderson, Anne B. Davis, and rest of the main cast... as they looked then. But guess starring in the pilot episode is J. Pat O'Malley... and I have his pic in the CreditPhotos folder... will it show the pics that are in the UPC folder AND the other pics that are in the CreditPhoto folder? | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | I'm not really understand why we still have a database for photos rather than just putting them in the folder structure. I realize they probably won't be included in a normal backup using that method, but I'm fine with that. At least this way we'll have easier access to them. | | | Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here. Create fake parent profiles to organize your collection. |

| Posted: | | | | It all sounds good. I was really hoping to be able to finally bust out individual movies into separate profiles but that'll just give me something to look forward to another day. |

You can also place a non-profile-specific image manually into the top CreditPhotos directory and it will override the DB image, but this also will not be backed up. | | | Invelos Software, Inc. Skip Maybe we have to perform a separate backup for this? Hopefully the profiler can re-assign the connection to this directory when restoring! Anyway, it would be nice to have the ability to (optional) backup and restore all profiler related files! | | | Thorsten |
