| Posted: | | | | After reading the last few posts I have to ask, am I the only person that has all aspects of all their profiles locked at all times? | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom. Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand. The Centauri learned this lesson once. We will teach it to them again. Though it take a thousand years, we will be free. - Citizen G'Kar |

Since the only way that I update existing profiles is by using Online>Refresh from Invelos>Preview Changes, then do a "Partial Accept" and only accept the pieces I want, I don't have to worry about fully locking all my profiles (but I do it anyway, just out of paranoia!). | | | Hal | | | Last edited: by hal9g |

Since I never found any interesting update in the online, I also lock all my profiles to prevent any keying error. For example the changes X-Files to X Files (or Taxi 4 to T4xi, or Friends to F.R.I.E.N.D.S, or François to Francois) are typically the kind of crap I do not want to see in my local. For changes that are consecutive to a new field in a new version, I generally have them in my local long before the update is available in the online. | | | Images from movies | | | Last edited: by surfeur51 |
