Surprised I haven't seen Doctor Who on more (any other?) lists so far, as a series that had an original run of 699 episodes in 159 stories over 26 years with an additional 57 odd since 2005 and is presently the top rated series on UK TV!

While I do enjoy it in its sillyness, honestly: it isn't that good, is it? I know it's a british institution but like all british institutions it's a bit loony.

4. The Brady Bunch (yes, indeed.  )
5. The Judy Garland Show

It was "appointment television" when I was in college. Or at least a great excuse not to study.

Well, us others might have read part in the original post that said (bolding by me):

Quote:
This poll is about the top series, not the top episode or the top season, it is about which 10 series (shows) you liked the most in their entire run.

It's strange.  I love old movies and have tons of stuff from the '30s-'70s.  But I'm not a fan of old TV shows.  Besides Kung Fu and one season of Alfred Hitchcock Presents, almost everything I own is '90s or later.  And Moonlighting was also playing when I was in college, so it's not an age thing.
