And regarding the listed 10 same name actors:
Before you restore, you can prepare your own database by adding the names manually. Eg. if you now only have the other James Brown in your database, make sure that he has birth year. Add the second James Brown too, together with BY, even if you do not have any DVDs where he performs. That way there shouldn't be any corruption. The names were:
Kenny Baker 1912 & 1934
Matthew Beard 1925 & 1989
Colin Farrell 1938 & 1976
Harrison Ford 1884 & 1942
Jim Norton 1938 & 1968
Tracy Reed 1942 & 1949
Kevin Smith 1963 & 1970
Liz Smith 1921 & 1923
John Williams 1903 & 1932
James Brown 1920 & 1933
I'm not sure what happens to such names who now has BY in your database but not in this master. the BY in your database remains... meaning restoring this new master will get you the newer headshots / no nudity... but will not correct the YOB issue from the first master. | | | | -JoN |

The backup file will also include all those names where there is no headshot assigned. With this other method (more work, I know) the contributed file is much smaller and it is easier to import it to the master. If you make eg. only one headshot correction or addition, using the first method you have to send your whole cast and crew database. | | Posted: | | | | As I was prepping my database I found that a bunch of profiles incorrectly had the 1884 Harrison Ford listed instead of the Han Solo one; I submitted a bunch of corrections since I don't know if they're that way in the main database too, but I figure it can't hurt. I'm now importing the database and already notice I have quite a bit of better looking pictures in my own database which I will try to upload when I'm all done comparing.
On a side note: Since this is a headshots database, shouldn't there be less images of female chests and more images of faces ? I completely understand why busty images are appealing, but in my opinion it would be better if all images show faces of roughly the same size. |

I know that during my hunt for headshots, it was much easier to find pictures there included the chest than just the face. And cropping them all to have only the face is not an option (IMO) because you can't do it straight from DVD Profiler. |

I always try to go for quality, and therefore use an image editing program for cropping running next to DVDP. But that's just me ... To make the hunt for headshots easier try this: Go to Google's image search and search for images of your favorite actor or actress. Then add "&imgtype=face" at the end of the URL and press enter. You will then only see headshots of the person you are looking for. Nifty eh?  |
