| Posted: | | | | Quoting heathen: Quote: It says that it is unable to contribute profile that I must change the UPC. This is after adding by DISC ID. When I go to change the UPC code, I then force it to use the disc ID of the disc already in drive (and it is the disc in question). However, when I do, it says that it is an invalid UPC and refuses to proceed and will not be allowed for submission. Hope that helps. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom. Disc IDs are not validated as UPCs anywhere, so I don't know where to look for this without more information. | | | Invelos Software, Inc. Representative |

| Posted: | | | | I was hoping that you had, but posted it just in case...these kinds of thing can easily get lost in some of these threads. I sure hope you can get this figured out. Thought it isn't my problem, I do appreciate the effort. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. Disc IDs are not validated as UPCs anywhere, so I don't know where to look for this without more information. The message comes from the program itself, so apparently there is some sort of validation going on or else it wouldn't reject it. Let me know if you need any additional info. |

| Posted: | | | | And have you tried what the error message says? If it's greyed out, check that your DVD is correctly set under Tools->System->DVD Rom Drive and that you've inserted the disc in your drive. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

As I have already replied at least once before: yes. What happens when you see this dialog? And it looks like you are running MacOS. What emulator/VM are you using to run DVDP? | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

It seems that whatever emulator you are running does not properly implement the DLL function call Ken is using to determine the DiscId (Ken uses a DirectX call AFAIR). So basically you're screwed until you use a newer version of your emulator, or you could use another emulator or a proper Windows... | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

So basically you're screwed until you use a newer version of your emulator, or you could use another emulator or a proper Windows... That would be an incorrect conclusion. I have successfully submitted several bonus discs over the years with no problem. This is not a emulation problem but a program issue. Thanks for your help though. |

If not, then there might be a problem with this particular disc. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. As I JUST got through saying and you JUST quoted: "I have successfully submitted several bonus discs over the years with no problem." The problem is not with the disc, it's with the program. |

The problem is not with the disc, it's with the program. Of course it could be the disc. Your history with other bonus discs means nothing with this disc. It's a different disc. Why does it have to be the program? | | | Bad movie? You're soaking in it! |
