So how come with The Parent Trap set the titles at the bottom of the cover is part of "The Title" but the titles at the bottom of the Dirty Harry set they are not part of "The Title"?
Treating 2 releases that is done exactly the same way differently. As it seems just because not satisfied with the title of one of the sets. This is exactly what I wanted to say in my last post: Why should we make differences? Just because in one example it's called Dirty Harry Collection and in the other case the one word misses? What if the cover would say The Parent Trap Collection? Treating different? |

I and many others (all yes votes with no notes to the contrary) agree that in this case there is a name for the set no different then The Dirty Harry Collection. The spelling error is in Martian's spelling of 'regardless" in his post....nothing to do with the title of anything. | | | Hal |

I've already answered this numerous times. 'The Dirty Harry Collection' says it is a "Collection" so you know when you see the title it includes multiple films.
'Parent Trap' does not indicate in any way that it is a collection. To see the title without paying attention to the edition), you would think it is simply the movie 'Parent Trap'. Please support this with the rules... show me where we are allowed to add to the title if we feel the title isn't good enough. | | | Pete |

It i now clear that it is not the single movie 'The Parent Trap', but instead a collection of movies. | | | Hal |

There wasn't, but the proof of purchase tab says "The Parent Trap: 2-Movie Collection". Wouldn't that show the title from the distributor's P.O.V.? I would think if they considered "The Parent Trap" the title, that's what they would put.
And, again, there definitely needs to be a clarification for this. I'm quoting myself as I think this got lost in the mix. Is the proof of purchase tab an equivalent for finding the title a la what's in the quotes in the small print on the back of the box? | | | Reviewer, HorrorTalk.com

| Posted: | | | | What about this one? This seems to be very near to Parent Trap (Title of one movie, both movies listed, some kind of Edition): Title: The Dirty Dozen Edition: Double Feature Even if it is different in online database. |

| Posted: | | | | Tell me why it is right for one set... but not the other. Those Dirty Harry titles are on the front cover no different then the Parent Trap ones are.
And just because of a single word in the title (Collection) has no weight since we do not control what the studios wish to name their sets. | | | Pete | | | Last edited: by Addicted2DVD |

| Posted: | | | | After reading through all the post, and carefully weighing the options...
I believe the title is either
The Parent Trap or The Parent Trap 2-Movie Collection. <---- I prefer this one
To me, this is not different than Clint Eastwood American Icon Collection, where the 4 movies are listed on the cover, but are not included in the title.
As far as the argument for the other sets
Comedy double feature Horror 4 movie set etc...
I see these differently. Typically I put these descriptors into the edition field (Arthur/Arthur 2 :Comedy Double Feature) They are more descriptive of a series of releases than they are of as a title (Otherwise we are going to have an awful lot of "Comedy Double Feature")
The fact that Parent Trap and Parent trap 2 are on the cover (at least the one that is presented), is not relevant to this argument, they fall into a sub category of the title, no different than Star Wars Trilogy, BTTF Trilogy.
(As fart as the title always from the cover, wasn't there a release of Batman that only had an image on the cover?)
