PS - Hot water comes out of both taps Good luck with the job hunting. Tips for keeping cool in a heatwave (I'm from Brisbane so we get a few with high levels of humidity): 1. Get an air conditioner; 2. If 1 is not possible, find a relative or friend with one and visit them; 3. If 1 or 2 aren't an option, go to the shops; 4. When you aren't doing 1,2 or 3 drive around in an air conditioned car/bus/train; 5. Take lots of cool showers; 6. Sit in front of or under a fan; and 7. Get a childs blow-up wading pool, an outdoor umbrella and set it up somewhere outside in the shade and sit in that under a lawn sprinkler (surprisingly a popular option up here. Someone I used to work with saw it and said a CGI canyon was added in! 
Meanwhile, I'm over this 44ºC (111ºF for those in the US) maximum, and I've done my best to keep indoors. I have seen "Australia" and I thought it wasn't too bad even though the first part of the movie I was under the impression it was a comedy! The romance between Hugh and Nicole was ok although it did look like both characters at one point were going to die at different times. Brandon Walters as Nullah was probably the best person in the movie. David Wenham as Neil Fletcher is the main villain and Bryan Brown as King Carney is the support villain, and they both look like they are having a whale of a time. Basically it is a fairytale and has no reality to the real world much like its use of, as its main theme The Wizard of Oz. No comparison though. The great thing is at 2hrs and 30mins it did not outstay it's welcome.  |

Even with the airconditioner going at full bore it was still 30ºC inside! I spent the day inside watching the cricket. | | | In the end; Winning is the only safety.
