To help you splitting your file, I found this software (freeware) and tested it.  The good point about it is to create a self unsplitting program without reinstalling the initial software.  Properly configured (size of pieces, destination folder) it could be perfect for the current matter.  Works wonderfully!

When I integrated the database with my Profiler, I was amazed to find that it contained even very obscure favorites of mine like Vladek Sheybal and Gabriella Licudi. Now that it's spoiled me, I'm annoyed when I see that it fails to include Grant Withers, Simone Simon, Kent Smith, Sidney Blackmer, Sig Rumann, Elizabeth Russell, Alan Mowbray, Eric Blore, Douglas Dumbrille, Michael Sarrazin, James McEachin, and Christine Belford.

I'm pretty sure I have headshots for most all of those folks in my database.  My concentration has been golden age.  Frankly, I've been a little hesitant to contribute because I didn't want to add to the mess that is birth years, etc.  I know I've had to spend an inordinant amount of time cleaning that stuff out after our first go-around with this database.

Oh, and I was going to suggest that, in the future, we give some consideration to breaking down the database by letter.  All the 'A's, all the 'B's, etc.  I think a lot of us are getting to the point where we really do want to cycle through the entries individually, but the entire chunk is too overwhelming.

You know, i am loving this little add on. Been cleaning up a fair amount of mess as well. I see actors i know were in something else, like Ed Bishop was in 2001. He was also in UFO. Found he had 2 listings in the database. One as Edward, the other as Ed...same guy. I have found 5 or 6 others as well. I have not submitted these changes, cause quite frankly, i dont want to be nitpicked as to what one was right, i dont know. So i am just fixing them locally. I have also added a few pics of obscure names as well.
Anyway, thanks to all that have worked on this, and if i knew a way for me to share what i have done, let me know.

I always compare every new version of every headshot with what I currently have. And yes - it does take a while.

It is almost impossible to accomplish.  The file can be seperated in 4 or 5 chunks but not by letter.  It would take way too much time to do so. It will discourage anybody who wants to upload the database.

For uploading, the best method is to create a manual profile and assign any changes to it.  That way when you are ready to upload, back up and restore the db into a new database and compact the database to remove all cast/crew not assigned to a profile.  That would make submitting updates to me a lot easier to process.

I'm currently working on importing my last headshot database - no more will be accepted at this point (v4 will never get out if I do!)

Don't worry about birth years - I have a process to remove all invalid ones.  Though if you have a db that you've been populating birth years on everyone, I'd rather you didn't contribute because removing BY's is a manual process.

To whom it may concern: I believe the shot for Lon Chaney (plain and simple) shows a picture of Lon Chaney, Jr. I'd propose that the unjuniored form be reserved to the Phantom of the Opera star.

You are correct that it is a picture of Jr.  Locally, I've removed the entry for Lon Chaney and just have an entry for Jr. and Sr.  I then use credited as for my profiles and each has the correct headshot.  The headshot master can't really be perfect for cases like this, because there are profiles out there for both Jr. and Sr. simply credited as Lon Chaney.  Therefore picking the correct headshot for the master is almost impossible.  Cleanup tailored to individual databases is inevitable.

If you can provide a good headshot, I'll import it.
