| Posted: | | | | Should the production year on disc profiles of TV season sets be the same as the parent UPC profile or should the disc profiles use the earliest air/release date for the episodes on the disc? The contribution rules are not very clear and I have TV seasons in my collection using both methods. |

| Posted: | | | | The parent profile should use the year of the broadcast of the first episode of that season. The disc-level child profiles can use the year of the 1st episode on each particular disc. | | | My one wish for the DVD Profiler online database: Ban or remove the disc-level profiles of TV season sets. It completely screws up/inflates the CLT. FACT: Imdb is WRONG 70% of the time! Misspelled cast, incomplete cast, wrong cast/crew roles. So for those who want DVD Profiler to be "as perfect as Imdb", good luck with that. Stop adding UNIT crew! They're invalid credits. Stop it! |
