| Posted: | | | | So I spent quite a bit of time doing the cast and crew for Furiosa and I went to upload and got an "Application Error". So I closed out the tab and went back into DVDP to resubmit and accidentally clicked the refresh profile option and of course it completely removed all that work I did, though I thought whenever I made changes, those parts automatically locked. Guess not. I might give it another go tomorrow but hopefully someone else can do it, I'm just beside myself because it took a long time to do this with how odd the credits were (ie the three stars are only credited in the opening, others are listed during the end credits while the rest are in group headers in the end credits scroll). Doesn't help my eyesight isn't what it was and the TV is a bit aways from my computer (have to use the player as this release only includes the 4K UHD disc, so can't use my disc drive.
Sorry for the long rant, just had to release my frustration. |

| Posted: | | | | I feel your pain! The eyesight, the using the TV for 4K discs, the tragic loss you have suffered. In my local database I collect details (writers and performers) for all of the music that's used in films etc. As so many stage names and other naming anomalies crop up, this can take a long time, especially for very obscure artists. (And nearly always in an extra tiny font that even in HD can still be blurry when magnified.) Even now, years later, I can remember spending what my memory now considers "forever" profiling a film on DVD that had over 50 bits of music credited as used in it, mostly by hip-hop / rap artists, most of whom were not well known, many of whom had multiple stage names. Then I did something that resulted in my losing all the information. I'm pretty sure my brain has purposefully blocked out the details of this catastrophe (I can't even remember what film it was now) to prevent me from suffering permanent psychological damage. Even now when I go through this profiling process, I sit worrying how often I should save what I've typed in vs the extra time doing this a lot would use up. It's like the mouse is being dragged towards the Cancel Button, which itself gets bigger and bigger the more records I've inputted but not yet saved, whilst the Save & Close one itself shrinks until it's the size of one pixel and sneakily hides behind the former! It sounds completely stupid but I'm pretty sure it's true. | | | Do you ever find yourself striving for perfection with an almost worthless attempt at it? Guttermouth "Lemon Water". Also, I include in my Profiler database VHS tapes, audio DVDs, audio books (digital, cassette and CD), video games (digital, DVD and CD) and 'enhanced' CDs with video tracks on them, as well as films and TV I've bought digitally. So I'm an anarchist, deal with it. Just be thankful I don't include most of my records and CDs etc in it too; don't think I haven't been tempted... |

| Posted: | | | | I understand the frustration because I have done exactly this, adding the entire cast and crew for a film, contributing, and accidentally refreshing the database and removing all the work done.
In that case, it was fortunate that the update was approved and released a week or so later, but it was a nervous time hoping that the profile update would not be declined, forcing me to do all the work again. |

Think what happened was, a year or so ago, I had to re-install DVDP and that option was unchecked and I never thought about it. I'll probably sit down and re-do the cast/crew later today. |

For some reason I had it ticked for cast but not crew. | | | Do you ever find yourself striving for perfection with an almost worthless attempt at it? Guttermouth "Lemon Water".
