This would allow us to set some filtering criterias and save them so they can be reused later.  I often use the same "complex" filters.  It would be real cool to just select the one I want from a dropdown list to re-apply them whenever I want.

I'd vote yes if it were a poll. Good Idea, I also use filters that would be nice to save.
