If we didn't give a rat's ass about the framing or cropping, why give a rats ass about picture quality and buy blu-ray in the first place? There's tons of examples of this kind of stuff on DVD. We have the first Blu-ray example. I'm sure HD DVD will have it's own mistake soon enough. I've had problems twice with Disney discs. My Pearl Harbor had some glue on the playable side of one of the discs and I just called a few days ago for my replacement discs for More Silly Symphonies. The good news is that calling in to Disney has been one of the best customer service experiences I've ever had. Good for you US guys, but most of the early adopters are importing their stuff. We don't have the luxury to just send the stuff over to disney. They won't exchange defective discs from outside USA. |
