This is an old issue, but since new version 3.1.0 is coming.

When viewing contribution notes via DVDProfiles link, DVDP 3.0.3 is using Internet Explorer.

I'm using Firefox for internet browsing.

Is it possible to set DVDP to use Firefox instead of Micro$oft program ???
=> Is this my settings issue on problem/error in DVDP ?

I don't know about that link in the menus. But when submitting a contribution it definitely takes the default browser.

Switching from 2.5 to 3.0/3.1 I noticed that on a contribution that I have to ALT-TAB to Firefox to get to the contribution notes screen, in the old 2.5 version it would always appear once it was ready to take input, has anyone else noticed this?

On I I would dearly love to not have to us the IE renderer too but I suspect it kinda of built into the program too deep to make it possible.

I don't know how it was in the past, but with my current version (the official 3.1.0 - no beta) Firefox also stays in the background when it opens the Contribution page. With IE on my laptop, it is ok.

Here is sample image.

First click "View Contributors" => popup window appears => click "View contribution notes" => notes are opened with IE not with my default browser Firefox.

The reason is of technical nature. The View Contributors window is actually an embedded Internet Explorer display (you can't embed Firefox or other "default browsers" AFAIK), so IE is actually already open. now, when you click the link, it's just IE opening IE, not really DVDP.

I don't know of any actual technical reason that would prevent Firefox from functioning the same way.  Its just that nobody has done it yet.  I would also much prefer Firefox over IE, for a variety of reasons, not the least of which is security.

The reason is because programmers are scare not to use IE! Does DVDP use Active-X in it's program if not then there should be no reason to limited used choice of browsers

It really sucks to make aprts of your program embeded into IE. Like I really hate Libronix bible software they do the same crap.

Seem everyone is in bed with Bill Gates Now that Bill Gates made WGA for 3rd parties can't wait for this to be added to DVDP.
