Just found out that the DVD of Grindhouse will not be as it was in the theaters. It will be separate dvds. Will not contain the trailers inbeween the 2 movies that was all in one movie. This is a mistake and I will not buy either one of the dvds. If at some time they make a dvd with both movies together like it was in the theaters then I will buy. This is really messed up as a dvd is supposed to either be as good or better not worse.

It does not matter to me. I did not liked "Death Proof" nor "Planet Terror" that much and they were theatrical released separately in Europe anyway. Also I think it's stupid to damage prints on purpose in an age of digital (re-)mastering.

I'm sure the trailers that had been in between the movies will still be available on the DVDs.  Also, you're right, these are not the same movies we saw in the theatres.  Both movies have been extended to full length features (2 hours each, I believe).  Remember the cuts where it flashed on the screen "Reel Missing" or something like that and it flashed forward like 15-20 minutes into the movie.. well, the missing "reels" have been found    Including the missing lap dance scene by Vanessa Ferlito.

I'm sure they will be released in a "Double Feature" boxset together as well, if not right away, then at some point shortly after the individual releases.

From interviews I've read with QT it does seem they intend to do a double feature release, the seperate DVD release is to recoup the money they didn't make.

Of course we are still waiting for the combined Kill Bill release...

QT would argue it's all part of the experience. Kind of like the art of grindhouse.

I actually found both were great.

I think the full lap dance scene was shown in Dutch theaters? Or maybe only a part of it?
I hope they'll release it as one. Like they're planning to do with Kill Bill.

It's almost over.. Nov 6th.  "Kill Bill - The Whole Bloody Affair".  4 hours and 7 minutes with an intermission in the middle.

Ooh missed that one. Is it the full uncut/non black and white version? It's unclear from a quick google search as they suggest an NC-17 but also an increase run time.

I'm pretty sure it's the uncut NC-17 version.  Atleast, that is how Amazon has it listed.

This is the Region 1 release, I'm not sure if it will be coming out in other Regions at the same time or not.

if you want the full colour version then get the Japanese version of Kill Bill 1. I got it from Amazon.jp
