There are topics for users who have 1,000 plus DVD's so I figure I'd start one for 1,000 plus posts!

I'm posting this as my 1,000 post!

Skip isn't allowed to play here, he's already in the 4,000 club.

It's funny, there are many posts from people who have posted, say, 595 times, that I enjoy reading, but far fewer posts from people who have posted, say, 4,363 times, that I enjoy reading as much.

I guess I prefer quality over quantity. And humor more than personal obsessions.

If it wasn't for bad taste, I wouldn't have no taste at all.

Obsession with joy is terrific!

Both having it and spreading it.

(BTW, now my number in my 1st post in this thread is no longer accurate. Oh, well...)

Yeah, I could, but by not editing it, only very few people would know exactly who I mean...

All kidding aside... I know there are people here who post many, many times. And there are those of us who post less frequently.

You, FunkyLA, have around 20-25% more posts than me, but I find most (nearly all) of them to be entertaining, occasionally very informative, and specifically of the type that makes me want to be here reading many of the participants' ideas. You post good stuff, interesting stuff, the occasional sad obituary, and always make this forum a better place.

In many ways, everyone here makes this place a better place. Even those with multi-thousand post counts add much to the thought, discussion, humor, joy, and "deeper meanings" that sometimes emerge from the blather. (Out of the mud grows the lotus.)

But I'd say I've found more of your posts entertaining than some others who've posted at this forum and the one preceding it (for longer than I). They, too, will post really good stuff (I could add a joke about the infinite number of monkees with the infinite number of typewriters, but I guess I just did), but often post for the sake of posting. I know I've done it on occasion.    Okay, more than a few occasions. You, sir, have an excellent batting average... far more hits than strikeouts.

Okay? Have I stroked you enough for the day? (And admitted that even the 4,000+ posters add to this glorious forum with their own interesting texture?)

Good grief. I feel like Charlie Brown looking in my mailbox on Valentine's day. Why are all the pretty envelopes addressed to Snoopy?
If it wasn't for bad taste, I wouldn't have no taste at all.

I should probably update the title of this thread (if I could) to read "1,000 Post Club - Post here to gain entrance"
