If I recall correctly The Mist was actually a novella... despite being part of the short stort collection Skeleton Crew. I believe it is similar in length to Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption to hopefully won't too many problems.  | | | Andy

Just grabbed my copy, and it is 114 pages long. Should be possible... especially if you consider how successfully some of the really short stories were adapted for Nightmares and Dreamscapes on TV. Battleground for example is only about 10-20 pages as I recall. | | | Andy

But don't get me wrong, I WILL see it. If they just get it half right, it will be a thrill! | | Posted: | | | | Huge King fan myself and I have high hopes for The Mist, however I must say I was disappointed with the trailer. I believe they showed far too much in the trailer. Having read the story I am fully aware of what happens, but to the average movie goer I believe a trailer that leads you to believe that something is in The Mist and it is driving the people in the grocery store slightly mad, is a far better approach to peaking interest rather revealing everything up front!!! | | | | My Collection!!! |

The Mist looks pretty good and since Frank Darabont wrote and directed it, I'll be there in theatres to watch it. I loved how he did Shawshank and Green Mile and he seems to know how to adapt Stephen King's work for the screen pretty well. | | | We're on a mission from God.

Now here is a film I would buy.. on DVD? .. Oops not available.. Must be a Bing Crosby estate issue. Why is this post always have to be a bout films that are just being released today? I prefer the old classics that have yet to see the light of day on any type of video format. I've not seen it yet, but it's directed by Jan Svankmajer, the same guy that directed Little Otik, and very excellent version of Faust.
