Ok,

there are a lot of movies over the years I can't BELIEVE I spent money on. It happens more to me than most I would imagine in part because I buy 99% of my movies on "blind buys". I can count on one hand how many movies I have seen in the theater' and actually bought. I really relish in watching a movie for the first time in my living room. But what about you guys ?? Whats 1 movie that you just utterly can't believe you bought....you know the one I'm talking about. The one your "girlfriend" or "wife" made you buy *cough* ya-right *cough* and just made you completely sick........ go ahead and post ... nobody will make fun of you - but you go first

Look, I'm not much good at big speeches, and I know I haven't always been an easy guy to get on with, and I know, that given the choice, I wouldn't have chosen you as friends, but I just want to say, that over the years, I have come to regard you as people I met.

Hi Rimmer!... glad to see you back!

Actually mine is a horror movie. I know... I love horror movies... but in my opinion this thing was nothing but a huge piece of crap.... I actually have a copy of the Troma movie Bloodsucking Freaks... I got it on special when Troma first started releasing their movies on DVD... they celebrated buy having a sale on their site where they sold their DVDs for only$0.25 each... So yes I have several Troma movies... and yes they are all pretty bad... but Bloodsucking Freaks has to be, in my opinion, the worst of the worst.

Two movies I walked out of:
Fresh Horses (hell, almost the entire audience walked out of it)
Around the World in 80 Days

I wanted to walk out of that Jack Black movie where he was the wrestler

I rather regret getting "She's the Man".  I lasted 10 minutes into the movie before I had to stop it.

My movie was Daredevil.  And all joking aside, my wife really did make me buy it.  She really did.

I'm normally pretty good at getting blind buys right, but I really messed up when I bought Twisted. Ashley Judd and Samuel Jackson. Really awful.

Funny isn't it, I really like this movie......

However, I agree with Mark's choice, but it's a close run between Daredevil &....Battlefield Earth!

I can't stand TCM: The Next Generation but bought the DVD (on a blind buy) to complete the TCM collection, not too found of Land of the Dead but it has grown on me a bit after a few viewings and another off the top of my head is Friday the 13th: Part 8 (notice there are all sequels) but it was part of the Friday boxset.

Also, I too want to say glad to see you back Rimmer, your posts are always fun and are something I don't mind leaving a reply in.

I Heart Huckabees.  The wife really did make me buy it, said we'd love it.  I'm still bitter about being made to watch it.  It was like a trainwreck in slow motion.  Every few minutes I told myself it would get better...right up until the end credits.

Thanks Addicted, horror movies seem to be both of our genre' of choice, and I agree. Bloodsucking Freaks is a horrible movie

Being a B-movie freak, I often make blind buys that sound like fun turkeys. Sometimes they turn out to be very unfunny, boring turkeys.

If I had to name one what-was-I-thinking title, I guess it would be Hookers in a Haunted House.

Highlander: The Director's Cut

Okay, the original theatrical cut of Highlander is a good movie.  And it's pretty much a given that Studios mess movies up and when there's a "Director's Cut" of a movie available, it will be the director's original vision and almost always better than the original version.  That's true... but only when the director knows what the hell he's doing.  This movie is a rare case (Donnie Darko's Director's Cut is probably a close second) where the director should have left well enough alone.  The added scenes are ridiculous and turn this classic into a something akin to a TBS made-for-tv movie.

Another one I have...  Ballistic: Ecks vs Sever

No description necessary to explain that one.

"A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools." - Douglas Adams

mine would be, too many to choose from but I'll have to go with,

"Sorority Babes In The Slimeball Bowl-a-rama"

with a title like that how could it possibly be any good, just keep your expectations real low and it'll live up to all the hype.

only thing is I can't get rid of the bad movies, it's part of the "family", so I just apologize to the others and stick the ugly kids in the closet.

also any movie my wife buys is bad, anything that involves an animal is automatically on the <why in the world did someone agree to even make this> list.
