Hi Guys,

Was my very first attempt at posting an image, & took many attempts. I got so excited when the pic. finally displayed, I forgot to add  text. I Sure did not mean to offend anyone, well maybe poke some fun at Right Wing conservatives. At another forum I used the subject line

'Bush's Map of the World'

Take Care

You now what's really interesting?  The percentage of Americans who have never left the country for any reason.  It's something ridiculous like 80+%.  While I find the map a little annoying, it is frightening just how geographically challenged some of my fellow citizens are.

Don't worry too much - most people are able to appreciate a joke playing on the stereotype of themselves. Maybe some of those who aren't feel it hitting a bit too close

One of the more funny Danish posters I have seen shows two maps. The first was "The World seen from Denmark" where Denmark takes up most of the map pushing everything else away. The second was "Denmark seen from the World" which was a correctly scaled map, except Denmark was simply missing. Unfortunately I have not seen it around for a long time - and I would really like a copy of it.
Regards
Lars

It's a big country which do explain at least some of it - at least it helps growing up a place where you can reach something like 10-15 countries by car in a single day (well, long day if the traffic is bad on the Autobahn).... but the nutters who have never left the state they where born in scare me.

From where I am I could drive [in an almost straight line] non-stop for 24 hours before I leave the country. If I drive north for 3 hours then turn northwest I could drive [in an almost straight line] for over 40 hours before I left the country.

That's a lot of places and people to see.

Besides, we're better than everyone else

(kidding - but definately fits the theme of the thread)

EDIT: clarified my statement for my very literal friend from that place with no escalators
