I am very interested in purchasing DVD Profiler but I would like to see how clear the images are of the DVD boxes.  I downloaded the trial and the standard quality images are okay but I'm just wondering what the high quality images look like.

Thanks.

Oh, they're quite nice in the vast majority.  Plus, if you happen to get a cover that doesn't meet your standards of quality, you can scan in a new cover to use and even submit it to replace the existing in the master database.

By high quality, the images are at max 500x700 pixels and 195k in size verses thumbnail sizes.

Also look around and see if you can find anyone with a banner of what DVD's they watched recently.  If you see one, click on the banner to see their DVD collection using a PHP app that utilizes the XML extract from DVDP.  You can view the high quality scans there.

My collection is at http://strangejourney.net/DVDs/.  View any DVD and click on the thumbnail to see the high quality version of the cover.

I can't give you a visual example, but trust me - if the cover scans are the only thing that holds you back then go for it, cos they are very good....

But bad for bootleggers, you can't get the side scans.
J/K, love this program since going Pro. They even accept my scans of  B-movies, and it's great to have nice scans of those rented discs (not on Netflix yet, but most places won't give ya the cover with the rent. From what I saw at my cousin's house, neither does NF). It is just easy to use, easy to submit, and they frown on f***ed up IMDB info! If I wanna know who's in a movie now, I type it in here as I trust this DB!
