Hi y'all!

I have a question regarding the filiming location of 'Gone with the Wind'.

It's supposed to have been partially filmed here, and it's the area in US of a company currently involved with Norway.

Sorry if this seems cryptic, but this is all the info I've got to go on (it's a question in a competition in my local newspaper, and I cannot or the life of me find out where tis location is!).

Help much appreciated.

This would be news to me, unless there was some second unit work for scenery, but all of the principal photography was done in Hollywood. I certainly don't know of anything in regards to GWTW.

I think that I would need to see the actual question to have a chance of tracking the answer down.

The following site has a breakdown of most of the filming locations:

http://www.movie-locations.com/intromovies/gwtw.html

No mention of Norway.

It has been a while since I saw GWTW but if I had to guess it would be the sailing ship footage.

Other possibilities are:

- Screen tests;
- Restoration by Warner Bros and Newline using the ultra-resolution process;
- One of the many documentaries. These are all contained on the Four-disc Collector's Edition (I couldn't see anything obvious here).

Good luck, it's a tough one.

Could you post the exact question? Maybe do it in English and Norwegian just to be on the safe side.

Maybe I was a bit unclear.

I am looking for a US city which were used as filming location for Gone With the Wind. This city has the home office of a company (don't know which) that has had some business in Norway last year. Not much to go on I know, but that's all I've got.

Thanks for your efforts so far...

And in Norwegian;
Filmen utspilles delvis i denne byen. Den er hovedsete for firmaet som i fjor lanserte en nullutgave i Norge.
Aner ikke hva de mener med nullutgave...

Well it seems you got the translation a bit wrong Berak - they're not talking about filming location but where it partly takes place (utspilles), so I guess the answer would be Atlanta, Georgia?

...and Charleston, South Carolina.

The exact location of 'Tara' is not disclosed in the movie, as I recall.
