Does anyone here use this printer?  Do you know of the following?  What is you opinion as its quality?

I'm getting tired of running out of ink and thought this might be a good option.  What do you think?  It's available from Meritline for $94

Hi Floorwalker,

I have the ink 'HOG' Epson R260, yours appears to use the 78... series ink cartridges, same as mine. I use the Epson only for printing discs & use, a Canon for general printing. I tried  Meritline's cheap inks, & immediately after using, the 'ink gauge' quit working. So for me, I'm sticking with Epson ink. Have you found any reviews for this contraption? Also I may replace the Epson with the Dymo disc printer. Should you purchase this ink farm, please post regarding your results with.

Take Care Amigo

I always figured that the ink gauge was based on an estimate of how much ink the cartridge holds and how much ink it figures was used to date.  Unless some way can be found to reset the value on the ink cartridge itself, it'll always keep counting down.

Dr. Killpatient,

After exhaustive testing at level 2 support, by Epson. They determined the R260 had the fatal 'ink gauge virus' IGV, & would have to be terminated. I sent the old R260 back to Epson (for proper burial) & they sent a replacement. Was the IGV contracted from Meritline, perhaps.

Take Care

Good to see humor is alive and well.

I've ordered from Meritline before.  I've had no problems with it.  The last time I ordered, they used the G & G brand....

I'll let you know what happens....

I have had an r200 with a CISS and the printer burned out before the CISS. Never had any issues with it.  I currently use and rx580 with a CISS and have had not issues with it.  I bought mine for $45.00 and have filled the ink tanks up once.  It has already saved me $1000.00 in ink carts.  Best investiment I've every made.
