I go away for almost two years and come back to find most of my long-standing gripes aren't fixed.  For instance, there's still no listing for 4.1 audio or 4.0 discrete for that matter.  It also gives no way to list the number of channels for some of the new codecs doesn't distinguish between DTS HD and DTS Master HD, which are not the same thing.  I'd like to go back to having codec and number of channels seperate and just restrict the user from selecting things that aren't possible, like a 7.1 DD track.

Although this has been asked about in numerous threadsm this one is easier to spot at the moment.

I was just updating a profile, and have a suggestion that may make it easier in the future.

We currently have two columns Content and Format.

My idea is to add a third column, thus we wouls have Content (Language) / Format / Channels.

Thus, you could choose English / PCM / 5.1; English / Dolby True HD / 5.1; French / Dolby Digital / 7.1 etc.

Thoughts? Ken, would this be easier or harder for you?

I'd like to see it how it was in earlier versions as well, only restrict the options according to the format.  For another point, what the prgram calls MPEG 2 audio is, in-fact, MPEG 1 layer 2 audio.
