Fairly new to DVDProfiler, but I notice that in the Cast Information window there is a slot for cast images.  How many of you have these and is there a quick way to get them other than copy and paste each one individually?  That's a lot of actors to look up and find appropriate photos for!

For a quick way to fill them up, have a look in the Pinned: Headshot Master Database with DVDP 3.1 topic just above! However, be careful as you're replacing your own actor database with another which may contain things (such as BYs) you don't want.
Other than that, a batch import has been requested before, but nothing yet.
A handy tip you may not be aware of, when you have the cast information window open, double click on the area for the headshot and it automatically does a search for that name on Google images.

There are a database in this topic. This is not complete, but it's a good start

Headshot Database

Edit : Since northbloke answer while I was posting, I will add a better source than google, in my opinion.

Yahoo Image Search

The database is user created and is therefore not officially supported by Invelos.  Technically many of the cast photos are considered copyrighted material so Invelos cannot supply the photos are store them on their servers or anything.  Though, as just a user who is grabbing photos from the net and pasting them into the application you have nothing to worry about.  I think once you get this database and it fills in probably a good 80-90% of your photos, it won't be too difficult to either find the rest or as I find in many cases, you'll just have to give up because the person just isn't that well know and no photo exists.

So to answer the question.. no, it won't automatically refresh itself.  If there are any major updates to the database itself, you'll need to download it again to get the updated photos.  More than likely once this gets you started you'll soon become addicted to searching for and finding the rest of the photos yourself.

I do wish that people here would at least be fair to the new users and advise them of the POTENTIAL legal liabilities involved in sharing photos which are all copyrighted. Which is why I do not share my headshots. So please guys, don't lead a new user down the primrose path, give him enough inform, ation to be able to make an semi-informed decision. There are currently several cases beginning to work their way through the courts involving photos. They involve internet postings of photos of people, a dog, whatever that were hijacked by large corporations for advertising purposes without permnission. As one person put it, the big boys are all about copyright protection when it involves their stuff.

Please stop with this kind of stuff.  Ken would not have pinned the topic if he were worried about legal liabilities.

LOL, since it is not shared through Invelos, Ken has little if any liability. The liability would fall to those sharing and those that run the site. Please stop with what you are doing, unicus. i think all users should be informed.

Ken is facilitating the sharing.  If there is liability involved, he shares in it.  Again, please stop the fear mongering.  This is no different than sharing cover images...unless you expect us all to believe that Ken has an agreement with every single copyright holder out there.

In addition, you regularly scan copyrighted DVD cover art...with the copyright included in the scan...and offer them to anybody who wants them.  So, please, stop the fear mongering.

To clarify: Cover images for owners of the DVD is fair use.  Photographs of the actors are not covered by fair use - the photographer has not been compensated.  That's why we don't host or index cast images.
