| | Posted: | | | | I currently rename my backup every time i run a backup and use a date stamp to differentiate. Since I sometimes make more than one per day i put an _# where # is the number of the backup that day to keep them seperate. this way i can go back to a certain period in time if something i did at x point messed things up.
I would mainly use this for stuff like when i first added box sets, or make drastic changes to my tags. If I don't like it I can go back. It would be nice if i could put a little description in the backup, that I would be able to read before restoring, that I could then put these notes in, ie, last backup before doing a tag system overhaul. that way i know which one backup to use if i want to go to my old tags.
While i could put that in a file name, or log it in a seperate file, it would be easier as part of the backup and could be more descriptive if not part of the file name otherwise my file names would become pretty long.

If you place the mouse pointer over the filename, you'll get a "bubble" with your entries! | | Posted: | | | | while that is a good workaround, unfortunately my main dvd profiler computer is my laptop (currently my fastest machine and only one i can really access the internet with) which is currently running vista. and when i right click on it, i get details and not file info, and don't have the option to put commentary in.
