Guillermo Del Toro Directing the Hobbit Announcement

Sounds official to me. Don't know if that's good or bad. I liked Pan's Labyrinth and Hellboy. Not sure how he will handle The Hobbit though.

Guillermo Del Toro doesn't seem capable of making a bad film, so I find this great news if it's really true.

This is excellent news as I think Guillermo Del Toro is currently making great movies and with Peter Jackson producing I can't see how this can go wrong!!!

i also think this is good news. the trailer for hellboy 2 illustrates even more how adept del toro is at bringing fantasy to life. these films may not end up looking like jackson's, but i'm betting they're going to be something special in their own rights.
