I keep updating my profiles and images about every week and I am still finding that several images come up as error during the download. Can you tell me why since most of them were available on the old DVD Profiler, and what one can do to help in this situation.

This thread would have been better suited to the "Technical Support" forum.

Yepp, it would have, but what does that help now.

@buffalopaul: Since you mentionend the "old DVD Profiler" I assume your problem shows up since you updated to 3.x. So check the UPC's of the not updating profiles, because the conversion from the old 2.x to the new 3.x is not always fully automatic. 3.x now needs all numbers of the UPC, whereas 2.x didn't need the first. Highly likely that this may solve your problem.
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

Can't believe I got a negative rating for this.

All I was doing was informing a new forum user that his post would have been better suited to the Tech Support forum, not the General Discussion.

I gave you a positive on this one, for an even balance. As you pointed out, there is nothing wrong with informing new users on where to place their threads.

This rating thing seemed like such a good idea in theory, it's not being used properly.
Since I 100% agree that pointing out it's the wrong forum for the question doesn't deserve a negative, I gave ya a + too.
Those who hand out negatives for no good reason will get their comuppance I'm sure. That makes me smile.

Falcon,

I gave you a positive as well.  This is why I am not fond of the rating system.

Giving you a negative for this is simply ridiculous.  Gave you a green arrow as well.

@ buffalopaul: Has your probleem been solved using goblins' suggestion?

Can't believe this either, your comment wasn't really helpful, but for sure not worth a negative. Come to that, not a positive either.
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!

Reference to the answer from goblinsdoitall regarding my problem
1. sorry for using the wrong part of the forum thus getting falcon 2099 a negative rating.
2. Quite some time ago I changed over to the new dvd profiler, but as I said before certain images that were available on the old profiler are not showing on this version. I do update my collection regularly but am still getting a yellow error and a cross during updating on most of the same images. Can you give me a solution. The Bond dvds are  one such example. Will endeavor to select the right forum next time

Could you give us a UPC of some of the profiles in question? There are so many Bond profiles, we'd be hard pressed to find the right ones!
Also, if you still have the old profiler you can backup your old database including images, then restore only the relevant profiles into the new Profiler, and the images would come across that way.

Edit: I've just checked a couple of the Bond films that are in your collection, and there are images in the database - check that the locality of the profile in your local database matches the locality in the online database.

I was getting the yellow arrows about 6 weeks ago.  I repaired the database and it cured the problem.

Click the windows logo or start button
Scroll down to DVDProfiler
Click it
Click Database Repair Utility and let it run.
