A friend of mine has just discovered that his copy of season 6 of the Waltons doesn't actually have a disc one as disc one contains the same episodes that are on disc five.

Google doesn't seem to have any links to other people with the issue, but as he has to ship it back to the states he's keen to know if it's a one off or if it's something anybody else has come across.

So does anybody here own season 6 and can you confirm if you have a disc one with the correct episodes on?

Nick is it actually labeled disc one. I have seen cases where somewhere along the way duplicate discs, in other words TWO disc Ones for example are in a package. If it is labeled Disc One but has Disc Five data, then it as problem at Warner Home Video's end and your friend should take it directly to WHV.

Yes it is labeled as disc one.

The difficulty is that Warner don't seem overly keen to help with replacement unless you're actually based in the States, the problem with the incorrect disc in the Superman set a case in point. Of course I can see their point of view as the sets are supposed to only be sold in the US/Canada.

Hopefully the retailer he got it from will be willing to check a replacement before they send it.

I had two "Disc Fours" on a recent Warner TV set purchased. Not to mention fingerprints on the discs, despite it being sealed and apparently untampered. I returned it, and the second set was fine thankfully.
