| Posted: | | | | Hi
I have downloaded 3.0 and created a backup profile database on my old 2.50.
When I restore the database only 293 out of the 586 dvds that I had set up on 2.50 are transferred onto 3.0.
Has anyone else had problems like this?
I have tried several times to bakcup and then restore but still no luck. Is there now a limit on how many dvds you can have?
Thanks |

| Posted: | | | | As far as I'm aware the only restriction is a maximum of 50 in your online profiler (plus reduced functionality such as layouts) if you don't have the unlimited version.
I transferred mine from 2.4 with no problems and there are several people here who've been using 2.5 and have reported no problems like yours. | | | IVS Registered: January 2, 2002 |

| Posted: | | | | I wonder if the reason is that I was using the Beta Release Build 915 for the last year or so? |

Sorry Ken , I did all of this and it did not fix my problem.
Any other suggestions would be appreciated. The unusual thing is that the 293 DVDs that were restored were the ones numbered 1 to 293 in my collection. The balance of DVDs from 294 to 586 have not been restored.
Thanks |

| Posted: | | | | Just normally go to the File Menu, and select backup database. And then, in that new window where you can select the location, untick the box that says "Include cover scans" | | | With every passing hour our solar system comes forty-three thousand miles closer to globular cluster M13 in the constellation Hercules, and still there are some misfits who continue to insist that there is no such thing as progress. |

| Posted: | | | | Dear Ken I have managed to fix my problem. I downloaded Version 2.4 and backed up my database on Version 2.5 and restored the database on 2.4. Then I backed up my database on Version 2.4 and restored the database on Version 3.0. Therefore it appears that the problem related to the Beta Version 2.5 Thanks for your input. Cheers |
