For those who sometimes need it, a functional browser on a USB Stick, you only need access to a functional USB port on Windows PC

You do know that you can get loads of programs on USB now? Heck, I'm surprised that it took so long for Opera to join the club. You can even get full operating systems installed on USB, so that you can load up 'your computer' on any machine.

It is not opera who did this but an opera fan. I have a couple of live rescue enviroments on USB sticks. Just was thinking of passing this on for office guys with restricted browsers ...

You can run firefox from a USB (or CD) as well. And it runs happily..

Mobile Firefox

I've been trying to run this at work since we are restricted to IE6 - but I can't get ikt to connect through the firewall even if I use the correct proxy settings.

At least the old browsers (~4 years ago) would work from anything, it only needed the folder in the program files. Thats why i first started using Opera, we had installation restrictions at school, so we just copied the folder from another computer to my documents
